Enatai elementary survey

We need your
feedback! The PDC and PTSA
would like your
input to help guide ongoing
improvement of Enatai's programs
in the face of our growing
student body. This year's
survey focuses on improving
Enatai's community-building
activities, prioritizing program
funding, improving fundraising
efforts, and optimizing
communications. Your valued
input will directly shape
programs, priorities, and your
child's academic experience in
the upcoming 2010-2011 school
year. The
survey's 8 questions will
take less than 2 minutes and is
anonymous. Thank you for your
time!

Increasing safety during dropoff and pickup
As
we all know, pick-up and drop-off
times are very busy. In fact,
as Enatai Elementary grows, so do
our traffic issues and safety
concerns. In the
past Enatai Elementary staff have
made several accommodations in order
to help to alleviate some of the
traffic stress: creation of the
JumpStart program, teacher
classrooms, and volunteer traffic
direction.
Further, we always encourage
families that can ride the bus to do
so. However, as many of you
have noticed and brought to our
attention, there is still much work
to do be done to ensure that the
Enatai Elementary students remain
safe during these busy times of the
school day. There are two areas
that we would like to emphasize.
·
Following the Traffic Rules:
Please see
this document for more
information. If you must drive
your child to school, following
these rules, especially keeping the
bus lane free of cars, will help to
ensure that the safety of walkers
and riders.
·
Decreasing the Number of Cars:
Our biggest area of emphasis is
attempting to decrease the number of
students coming by car, and increase
the number of students that walk,
ride, or take the bus to and from
school. This emphasis is not
only good for the safety of our
students, it is also good for the
environment. As we have fewer
cars coming to and from school, and
more walkers or riders, we will be
making less of an impact on our
environment.
Please
help us to promote safe,
environmentally friendly ways to
school! And if you find you
must drive, please follow the rules
to keep all students safe.
Thank
you,
